age certificate

 

The age certificate states that horror are to be restricted to 15 years and older to the flashes scenes, use of language, jumpy scenes and sexual activity. Our film will have to be set to this age to the fact of what will be shown throughout and may not be appropriate to younger years. We have a character which will be appearing and causing some of the audience to jump and bring the heat race up to the tension which our film promotes.

another reason to why we have chosen to set the age certificate to 15 is because through my research of audience and our genre which we had chosen most age ranges is between 15-24 and want to appeal to the youngest age we can grab so we have a larger audience that it will appeal to obviously to the extent below 15 we cannot do as it may cause disturbance and may be inappropriate aswell it may scare younger years as we will have violence and jumping scenes throughout the film as they may occur straight away and be seen in the opening 2 minutes
