the chronicles of narnia is about a family which get sent away in the war to a families house and they discover a mysterious place through a wardrobe its an adventure filmed which aimed at younger audience.
the first scene is hard to see but it starts off in the skies of england with the military planes with the racing music to join it put the audience glued onto the story to find out what is expected next. It then goes inside of a plane where you can witness a man with a gas mask which can connote danger and fear. This signifies that this period of time was serious and dangerous for alot of people. The music is upbeat and combinded with the radio speaking it is crowding and exciting so that the audience have alot to focus on. The darkness means that the audience really need to concentrate and pay attention to what is going on and using a scene like this at the beginning sometimes works extremely well if the storyline at the beginning can really hook them in.
The camera is the from a front view of the plane and the audience is blinded by a mysterious light which is shone behind sound of explosions and including blinding lights which appear frequently all over the scene bring emotion to the fact of the pain and fear that some the people in the scene must be going through. sound of the engine of the plane loud and long connotes the amount of pressure and strength to contain control and to carry on surviving what is being witnessed by the audience itself.
using a birdseye view shot shows the audience how high they are and what everything looks like below them and it looks dull and dead nothing is in your face exciting and this moment in time.
using the effect of falling with the bombs that have just been drop bring more tension to the people watching as they know that eventually anytime soon a explosion will occur and it puts worry in there heads which really brings them into being part of the movie to the fact they are having concerns.
It then turns onto a young boy watching outside his window everything that is happening and reason we know this is they have used the mirror effect so we can see what his seeing aswell. The sounds of the alarms and explosions going off really brings fear to the boy and his face expression is speechless. A woman comes running in shouting in panick which means that she is the mother worried of the danger which surrounds her loved ones, she shuts the curtain and shouts another boys name in complete dull and darkness she shouts at the first boy in fright and they leave the room.
they then switch to a little girl calling for her mother, this confuses the audience to why she is not safe and is left alone then a older girl comes in a removes her from the room, the camera shot is cut to them all running out to the shelter in panick and shows that they are all suffering from the events that this time had to go through.
